Privacy notice

Version 2026-10-06-v1 · Updated 6 October 2026

Who is responsible?

Felipe Fabián Armijo Cerda, operating under the brand Austral Gateways in Chile, is responsible for the information collected through these downloads. Austral Gateways is currently a commercial brand, not a separately incorporated company. Contact: felipe.armijo@australgateways.com.

What we collect and why

When you request a PDF, we collect your name and email, the optional company and country you provide, the requested article and language, request time, whether a file response was served, campaign/source labels and your privacy acknowledgement and marketing choice. We use this information to provide the requested resource, maintain a limited record of requests and administer this service. This service administration relies on our legitimate interest in operating and evaluating our publications; it does not authorize unrelated marketing.

If you separately tick the optional marketing box, we record that choice, its wording, date and notice version. We rely on your consent for those communications. Leaving it unticked does not prevent a download. It does not withdraw an earlier consent: contact us to withdraw it. Submitted email addresses are not automatically verified.

Who can see the information?

Felipe Armijo and Alejandro Ortiz can access the private download register. Cloudflare provides hosting, database and anti-abuse processing. The existing general contact form uses FormSubmit and sends your enquiry to both partners; its processing is separate from the PDF download form. We do not sell this information or automatically place downloaders into CRM opportunities or mailing campaigns.

Storage and international processing

Cloudflare and FormSubmit may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Applicable provider terms and transfer safeguards govern that processing. Contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your request.

How long?

Download records and their associated consent events are retained for up to 12 months. Contact profiles are deleted after 12 months without a new download request. Anonymous daily statistics are retained for up to 400 days. Short-lived anti-abuse counters expire after at most one hour and are removed by daily maintenance. Administrative audit events are retained for up to 30 days. Any separately agreed commercial relationship has its own purpose and retention requirements.

Statistics and essential storage

We count page views and external-media clicks in daily aggregates, without analytics cookies or a persistent visitor identifier. These are counts of events, not unique people. A PDF served by the website does not establish that the file was saved or read. The site can remember your language preference. Turnstile helps protect forms against automated abuse; Cloudflare processes technical request information for that purpose. Only the private administration panel uses an essential sign-in cookie.

Your choices and rights

You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw marketing consent by emailing felipe.armijo@australgateways.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We may ask for proportionate proof that the request concerns your information. Where applicable, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. We do not use these records for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

External media and earlier copies

Links to BNamericas and other publishers open their own websites, which apply their own notices. We record only an anonymous outbound-click count. PDFs downloaded or shared before this download form was introduced cannot be recalled.
